Crop used for nutrients accumulation, especially nitrogen, to use the extra nitrates in the soil preventing the percolation into the ground table waters, for its anti-erosion action, to improve soil structure and fertility or for its biocide activity

Rustic species, suitable for temperate climates, resists well to conditions of strong summer drought. It adapts well to different types of soil as long as it is not acid.
