Annual plant, branched, with fittoning root and provided with a large number of massive radical tubercles. With prostrate-assurgent stems 50-70 cm long. Suitable for grazing or hay production, it thrives both in hot-wet and temperate climates. It is more frost resistant than berseem clover.
